Abstract:
The presentation provides results of comparison of informational standards used or recommended for use in culture collections catalogues, including:
- BRC Minimum Data Set (OECD Best Practice… 2007),
- BRC Recommended Data Set (OECD Best Practice… 2007),
- ABCD (http://www.tdwg.org/activities/abcd/),
- Darwin Core (http://rs.tdwg.org/dwc/),
- MINE Full Data Set Fungal (Gams et al. 1987).
- MINE Full Data Set Bacterial (Gams et al. 1987).
The pairwise comparison of the standards and comparison with data in culture collections web request systems provides a background for a possible unified standard with the best compliance to real data.
The focus of this analysis is on actual deployment of standards in advanced request systems.
